Thai massage in Bangkok

After four hours of braving the crowds of Chatuchak, husband & I were in a suicidal mood and continued shopping at Isetan for another hour or so! By then, our feet, heck, our legs were swollen & aching with tiredness. It was really painful to walk.

Thankfully, angel had recommended we go to King & I for Thai massage. It's a very respectable & elegant massage & spa place, not like the dime-in-a-dozen dark & murky looking massage parlours that litter the streets of Bangkok. Located in a shophouse along Sukhmvit Soi 12, the interior of King & I is all dark wood & warm yellow lighting. The staff there are professional & friendly. And the massages are simply divine. Husband said it was one of the best Thai massages he ever had.

The best thing about the King & I was its prices! $350 baht ($15 SGD) for 1 hour of Thai massage per person. Throw in $50 baht more, and you get a private room, which you can share with your husband! Here's a look at the rooms.

We looked and asked around, and $350 baht is really a very affordable price for a quality massage in nice surroundings. Strangely, the King & I cannot be found in any of the guidebooks, but it certainly deserves a place there. Do remember to check it out when in Bangkok ok?
