Writing a testimony...

What is a testimony?

One dictionary says,

tes·ti·mo·ny ... is an open acknowledgment, a public profession of religious experience.

To us, a testimony is simply sharing a personal story so as to glorify God.

Testimonies need not be long. In fact, if they are too long, people may not be able to finish reading them!

That said, testimonies need to cover one basic point: how God came into the picture & the difference it has made.

Testimonies need not always be life-changing, drama-mama stories. They can be ordinary, yet powerful; simple and short, yet inspiring.

You can share about what God has been teaching you in relationships, at work, with your family or friends. You can share about a mission trip you went on or being part of an evangelistic outreach. You can share about your conversion or coming back to Christ after backsliding.

Not everybody will have a dramatic story to tell, but everybody can glorify God by sharing about themselves and how God has moved in their lives.
