Ever wonder how the fishes do their whooopeees? Well, here it is. Captured on the digital olympus, in the failing light of one November evening, I caught this pair of lovers in the very act of whoopeee! The male mandarin fish is very territorial and is the larger of the pair. The female one, smaller by half, is happily rubbing belly. I can't magnify the little white dots you see, but I say pretty safely that a good number of them are baby mandarin fishes just waiting to be made. =) I was very happy to get this picture ... don't think many people have caught these pretty fishes in the act before!
